what is MUNZ FLOOR® for ?

under your skin are your fascias, a fascinating gelatinous organ, without beginning or end, with a major function for your health, your muscle elasticity, your back mobility, your breathing, your digestion, your sleep, your morale. Yes, just that!

your fascias – also known as the fascial system – are a viscous and aqueous texture that surrounds and interpenetrates your organs, muscles, fibres and cells. The role of the fasciae is to mechanically interconnect things, and they have two other specific features:

  • they are the control tower of our visceral, respiratory, central nervous and immune systems… all our autonomous systems
  • if they are subjected to a specific movement strategy, they trigger a self-regeneration phenomenon

before 2018, it was thought that the fascial system was just a simple filler with little interest, but in 2018 the international scientific community announced that it is the 80th organ of the human body, hence the expression ‘fascial revolution’. Alexandre MUNZ calls it the ‘mother gel’ because it is a system that ensures our functioning, our sensations, life… And if you dialogue with your fasciae by making circular frictions/deflections in an extraordinarily slow manner, then physical and mental phenomena truly beneficial to your daily life occur: tissue elasticity, joint mobility, anti-inflammatory effects, production of rejuvenating proteins, elastin, collagen, hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans, mental calm, deep meditative state

 

the MUNZ FLOOR® goes even further

through its circular movements, which biomechanics calls spiral movements, the MUNZ FLOOR® method has the gift of decompressing the spine. The feeling of release is clear and almost immediate: as with your osteopath, but through the action of your crossed muscle chains, you will open up spaces between your vertebrae and release parasitic tension on the surface, in what are known as the straight muscle chains. People sometimes come out of a MUNZ FLOOR® session amazed that they no longer feel any tension in their back, but it’s not magic, it’s all logical, physio-logical!

I won’t tell you too much about the effects on the mind, you have to experience them to believe them: since the spine is the axis of work of the MUNZ FLOOR®, and the highest density of fascia crosses the spine, which is also crossed by the central nervous system, I’ll let you imagine the relaxing effects you feel, lying down for 1.5 hours without the weight of gravity pressing down on your back. Practitioners often have these two expressions that I love: ‘active meditation’ … ‘I’m floating’

 

how does the class go ?

come in your favourite, most comfortable outfit. You will lie down without ever having to sit back up again during the whole session, because MAISON MUNZ has also trained me in their guidance technique, which allows you to learn more details without any visual or manual contact: in fact, MUNZ FLOOR® is an auditory learning method, without a mirror, you necessarily focus more on yourself and your inner sensations.

you are in your environment, I accompany the group in each of the spiral movements, you let yourself be guided and your relaxation deepens, while you refine your feeling over the course of the 90-minute session
