these are all deviant behaviours that seek to fill a gap with something that can’t. An essential need is not met, because the answer is not given where the need arises
in reality, it is always the relationship with yourself that is at stake and what you take refuge in takes you even further away from yourself. Deep down you know perfectly well that it is a dead end and that you destroy yourself, you see it and you continue, moreover you think you master the thing (really?)
the root of addictions of all kinds is a distortion of the image you have of yourself, which prevents you from finding yourself. It’s both existential and very concrete
